Arun Jaitley’s health condition is ‘hemodynamically stable’; Venkaiah Naidu visits AIIMS

Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday after he complained of palpitations and anxiety and is hemodynamically stable.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu visited AIIMS to meet Arun Jaitley on Saturday morning. The former Union Minister is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under the supervision of doctors’ team.


 

The doctors informed the Vice President that Jaitley is responding to the treatment and his condition is stable. The Vice President also met Shri Jaitley’s family members who were present. 

 

As per the sources, Arun Jaitley is expected to be kept under the observation for the next 2 or 3 days. He was admitted to the AIIMS after he complained of breathlessness. Later, the 66-year-old BJP senior leader was stable, the doctor said on Friday.

Jaitley was admitted to the Cardio-Neuro-Centre around 10 am on , hospital sources said. 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, MoS for Health Ashwini Choubey, JP Nadda and Loktantrik Janata Dal chief Sharad Yadav have visited to meet Arun Jaitley in AIIMS.

Earlier in May, Arun Jaitley was admitted to the AIIMS for treatment.

Also, he had undergone renal transplant on May 14, 2018 at AIIMS. During the absence of Jaitley, Piyush Goyal was temporarily given additional charge of Ministry of Finance. He also presented the 2019 Interim-Union budget of India in the Lok Sabha on 1 February 2019.
