Aarushi to Sunanda Pushkar: 4 unsolved murder mysteries that shook India

There are so many cases across the globe that remain unsolved due to lack of evidences or some other reasons. Such unsolved cases turn out to be mysteries for police and people alike. Even in our country, there are so many murder mysteries that have become the mystery to even Central Intelligence Bureau and the accused in these murder cases were acquitted either because of their innocence or the case got puzzled more and more every day.

Here is the list of most puzzled murder mysteries of India:

1- Aarushi-Hemraj murder case: the murder mystery is also commonly known as Noida double murder case 2008. The murder case involved the murder of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and the domestic help Hemraj. The murder mystery created a buzz in Indian media due to its 'honour killing' theory. It was widely being stated that the parents of Aarushi killed her due to her alleged relationship with Hemraj. Even the trial court had given them the life imprisonment. But later the Allahabad high court acquitted them on 12 October 2017.

2- Sunanda Pushkar murder case 2014: Sunanda Pushkar, late wife of a well known Indian politician Shashi Tharoor who was also a well-established businesswoman, was found dead in room number 345 of the Leela Palace hotel in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Co-incidentally, a day before her death the controversial Twitter incident involving her husband Shashi Tharoor and Mehr Tarar, a Pakistani journalist who allegedly had an affair with Mr Tharoor, took place. Earlier, it was suspected that she committed suicide due to her husband's affair but later it was reported that the reason behind her death was unnatural.

3- Beer Man, 2006-2007: Beer Man became a popular name in south Mumbai in the year 2006 and 2007 when a serial killer killed around seven people in the economic capital of India, Mumbai. The serial killer was called Beer Man because after murdering their victim he used to leave beer bottles beside the dead bodies.

4- Stoneman, 1989: Stoneman became a popular name in the media after he killed around 13 people in Calcutta in the year 1989. In all the 13 murders no one was caught and nobody was sentenced for all those murders.
