Four of the five suspects in the alleged gangrape of two teenage girls in Delhi's Aman Vihar on 14 September have been arrested.

The teenage victims, aged 17 and 18, were sitting in an isolated spot near the Mundka metro station with two male friends, when a group of five young men assaulted them.

The five suspects beat up the boys, before taking turns at gangraping the two girls. Primary investigation has revealed that the suspects threatened their victims of dire circumstances if the matter was reported to the police.

The police identified and apprehended four of the suspects late on 15 September, while the fifth suspect is still absconding.

"A case under protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act and India Penal Code was registered at the Aman Vihar police station," Vikramjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police told Hindustan Times.

Reports suggest that some of the suspects are minors themselves.
