Sonam Kapoor has wrapped up her appearances at Cannes 2016. The actress, who is fondly called Bollywood's fashionista, made sure to add an Indian touch to her look for the amfAR gala of the coveted film festival.
Wearing a powder Ralph and Russo saree-inspired gown, Sonam sported gold ruby traditional jhumkas and tied her hair up in a delicate braid.
Her first appearance, also in a Ralph and Russo gown, received a lot of flak on social media. One Twitter user went on to say that she 'looked a rumali roti' (an Indian flatbread).

However, Sonam remains unfazed.
Talking to a leading daily from the French Reviera, the Neerja actress said that she doesn't take fashion too seriously. She explained:
"I think it's important to be yourself and be comfortable. I don't have a particular process. If I feel great in the dress, I know it's the one. As opposed to what people would assume, I don't really think about the remarks at all. I have worn Ralph and Russo designs for all my appearances this year. Neither is there any pressure on me, nor do I take myself too seriously."

Apart from the white and the blue gown, her other appearances at the festival this year included a black bustier styled sheer outfit that she wore to the Chopard party, another black sequined frock for the press conference and a champagne gown with a cocoon detailed cape.
