Ivanka Trump’s Day 2 Indo-western fusion dress designed by this Indian fashion designer
US President Donald Trump’s two-day visit will end today. POTUS has been accompanied by his family members i.e. First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka Trump, and son-in-law Jared Kushner, for his India trip. Besides, Trump's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ivanka and Melania’s were in the limelight for the attires that they wore during the visit.
As Ivanka Trump’s outfit for her second-day visit at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi has become the talk of the town. Ivanka was spotted in white ensemble along with her husband Jared Kushner ahead of the ceremonial reception of US President.
Media reports claimed that the attire of Ivanka for the 25th Feb event is designed by an Indian designer.
Yes, you read right! Ivanka’s Indo-western fusion ensemble in all-white was designed by Anita Dongre.
Donald Trump’s daughter full-sleeved bandhgala sherwani was made from handwoven Murshidabad silk. Her dress contains metallic button-down details, which added a majestic touch to it. She paired it with straight-fit pants of white colour.
On the other hand, Anita spilled the beans on her designer sherwani for Ivanka that “Ivanka is wearing a sherwani made out of handwoven silk from Murshidabad, West Bengal. It is timeless, and such a classic.”
"We created this style twenty years ago and it's amazing to see how beautifully relevant it is even today. A powerful, standout silhouette, a sherwani carries the same charisma in absolutely any colour but my personal favourites are the evergreen blue, white and black,” Anita further told.
Interestingly, Anita has also designed some amazing outfits for other world woman leaders like Kate Middleton for her India visit in 2016, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the First Lady of Canada, in 2018.
Earlier, Ivanka got trolled for her Day 1 dress for India trip as she has already worn the dress in 2019 for her Argentina trip.
