In pics: Aishwarya Rai's love for nude gowns at Cannes 2016 red carpet is evident. But what about this red hot look?
It appears as though Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cannot get enough of shimmery, nude-coloured, outfits.
After wearing one such sheer Ali Younus Couture outfit for her first red carpet appearance for Cannes International Film Festival this year, Aishwarya's second Cannes look was a similar outfit from Elie Saab.
But the former Miss World added a vintage twist to her second look, opting for dark lips, a classic side-parted hairstyle and a sleek diamond neckpiece.
The gown was a refreshing sight after the Ali Younus Couture dress-cape - which did not sit too well with the fashion police. The cut of the Elie Saab outfit and the impeccable styling worked in the favour of the actress.

And just when fashion critics were wondering if nude was Aishwarya's colour of choice for this year's edition of the prestigious international film festival, she surprised them all at a press conference for the cosmetic brand she endorses.
At the event, Aishwarya stunned in a red gown that looked like something straight out of a fairy-tale. For the press conference - to mark the 15th year of Aishwarya's association with the brand - her stylist, Aastha Sharma, picked a bright red Naeem Khan outfit, with a mesh torso and sequinned tassles. The lower half of the gown comprised light ruffles. The actress' accessorised her look with loud red lips, while her side-parted hair fell in soft waves over her shoulder.
