Come Friday and Sunny Leone has a different type of release on the cards. The sharp, confident Bollywood actor will turn writer with the release of her first book, Sweet Dreams.

The book of short stories is being e-published by Juggernaut, the recently-launched publishing company by former Penguin Random House head Chiki Sarkar along with former head of Network 18 digital, Durga Raghunath.

Leone tweeted about her book on Tuesday.

"Hey, I've written these stories for you from my heart. Read them this Friday on the Juggernaut App," reads Leone's tweet.

Leone, who has over 1.4 million followers on Twitter, posted a little teaser from a short story titled New Year's Eve: "I whispered to him that I was not comfortable with my body. In a deep whisper back he told me that my body was perfection..."

Sarkar, the publisher of Juggernaut said the book contains 7 short stories by Leone. While we don't yet know about the writing itself, the publishing house has a glowing description of Leone on its catalogue.

"Voted as one of India's most desirable women, Sunny Leone stands for glamour, sex appeal and girl power. Here are her delectable stories about passion and play."

Rumours of Leone writing an autobiography have been rife for a while. Sweet Dreams puts those to rest but introduces a new side to Leone's talents: fiction writer.

Grace Under Pressure

Earlier this year, Leone won the hearts of many when TV anchor Bhupendra Chaubey insulted her during an interview in the run-up to the release of her film Mastizaade

Leone, whose past as a porn star became the focus of Chaubey's questioning, was repeatedly asked whether she regretted her past, whether she saw it as the biggest mistake of her life.

Leone's composure and grace won her a legion of fans as she calmly tore the undignified interviewer to shreds, all the while accepting responsibility for her life choices rather than playing the victimhood card.

The result? Chaubey called more attention to his own misogynistic attitude than to anything supposedly regrettable in Leone's own past.

A new chapter

Leone is obviously excited about her book. A new story will be delivered daily to all subscribers' phones for a week.

"The seven delicious stories in her collection, 'Sweet Dreams', will put the oomph back into your life, and will be exclusively available on the Juggernaut app at launch. A story will be delivered to your phone every night at 10 pm," reads a note from the publisher. Leone has already demonstrated her spunk. Now it's time to demo her style.
