Soni lives on Judges Bungalow Road in the Bokadev area, a doctor by profession. Nanda obtained the death certificate of Nimesh by declaring him dead on March 6, 2019.

However, Nanda and Soni were arrested by the crime branch for allegedly faking the death certificate of the complainant and claiming the amount of the insurance money.

Nimesh stated in his police complaint that he married Nanda for 20 years. They have two daughters and both of them are married. He revealed that he had taken multiple insurance policies in his name.

In 2018, Nanda told him since he is unemployed, he should go back to his native village in Madhya Pradesh and she would move in with their daughters so that they won’t pay their house rent in Ahmedabad.

Nimesh further told that when he returned to Ahmedabad after six months, his wife didn’t allow him to enter his daughter’s home. Due to this, he was forced to live on the streets.

Talking about policies, Nimesh said that he came to know that Nanda has claimed insurance money after declaring him dead on March 6, 2019.

During the investigation, it was found that the accused claimed Rs 18 lakh from two insurance policies after obtaining the fake death certificate of Nimesh with the help of Harikrishna.
