‘Why should a woman stay at home after 7 PM, why not the man?’, asks woman in this viral video
Hyderabad veterinary doctor’s rape case has shaken the sentiments of the nation and people are raising questions on girls' safety and also demanding some strict laws against such heinous crimes which ended the life of a girl.
One such video has surfaced the internet in which a woman can be seen blasting at the men for their ideology and she also asked why a woman should stay at home because the society is not safe.
The video was shared by a Twitter user named Natasha with a caption, “This is the voice of the women of India. 'I don't want men to safeguard me. I want to say you are the cause of the problem. You stay behind. Let the world be free.' How long can we continue ignoring her?”
In the video, an elderly woman can be seen holding a placard with a text, ‘She got raped’, ‘he raped her’ with a tick in front of it. There was also a message which reads, “#ChangeTheNarrative”.
The woman was saying that “Why should a woman stay at home after 7 PM, why not the man? Let us make it an institutionalized thing. Let all men come home at 7 PM and lock themselves behind the doors. Then we women will be safe. I don’t want to say, 'police should safeguard me or I want my brother to safeguard me or a man to safeguard me.' I want to say, 'the cause of the problem is you. You stay behind. You stay back at home and let this world be free.”
