A woman was found unconscious in her flat in Bachupally here on Saturday evening and it is suspected that she was sexually assaulted, police said.

Bachupally police said: "On the evening of November 30, we had received information from a woman stating that her elder sister was lying unconscious in her residence. She said she had gone out for some work and when she returned she found the door locked and after entering found her sister in an unconscious state."

"We immediately reached the spot and shifted the woman, who is a software engineer to the hospital for treatment. The woman is not in a condition to reveal anything and the doctors are examining her. It is noticed that one of the victim's friend came to her residence in the morning and he left later," police said.

Police are investigating the matter.

In another incident of sexual harassment, a 40-year-old person was sent to judicial custody for sending obscene pictures and messages to his friend’s minor daughter. A Case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Notably, the burnt body of a woman was found at a deserted place under Samshabad police limits on Friday.

The suspected killing of the unidentified woman was reported from the same area -Shamshabad- where the woman veterinarian was raped and killed by four workers on November 27.

According to reports, some passersby noticed the burnt body and informed the local police. Police personnel were rushed to the spot who sent the body to a state-run hospital.

Though, it was not clear whether the woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze or whether she was killed, it is believed that modus operandi looks similar to the crime occurred on Wednesday night.

Earlier in the day, the Cyberabad Police arrested four persons including the prime suspect in the rape and murder of a veterinary doctor on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Thursday.

"After investigation four people were taken into custody at Shadnagar police station, their names are Mohammad Areef, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen, and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu," the police informed during the presser.

"Request will be made to handover the case to the fast track court, Mahbubnagar to expedite the prosecution for maximum punishment to the accused persons," Cyberabad Police informed.

The victim had gone to the hospital and returned home on Wednesday evening. She again left around 5.50 PM to visit another clinic and parked her two-wheeler near Shamshabad toll plaza and took a shared cab.

Her younger sister in her police complaint had said she got a call from her sibling at 9.22 PM on Wednesday, stating she was still at the toll plaza as someone told her that her scooter had a flat tyre and offered to help her, taking the two-wheeler.
