Uttar Pradesh: Man allegedly commits suicide as he was missing his wife stuck at her parents' house due to lockdown

A man allegedly took his own life by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room as he was missing his wife who was stuck at her parents’ house because of the nationwide lockdown, police said.

The incident came to pass in Uttar pradesh’s Radha Kund area in Gonda on Wednesday, they stated, further adding that the perished has been recognized as Rakesh Soni, 32.


According to the information, Soni’s wife had gone to her parent’s house and was stuck there because of the nationwide lockdown and he was missing her due to which he ended his life, Inspector Alok Rao stated.

An investigation is underway in the case, he said.
