In a shocking incident of crime, a man allegedly murdered his ex-employer’s wife as he was sacked. Reportedly, the accused gave electric shocks to the woman after strangling her to death.

The accused has been identified as Rakesh. On Monday, Rakesh went to his former employer, Virender Kumar's home in West Sant Nagar in Burari when his wife was alone.

Rakesh said that he met Kumar around three years back. Reportedly, Kumar gave his taxi to Rakesh along with a room to his family. Rakesh, however, did not get a monthly salary and had asked Kumar to give the whole amount whenever he needed it.

Earlier on Monday, Rakesh came to know that Kumar was in the hospital with his mother and Pinki was alone at home. After this, he went to the house under the influence of alcohol and strangled Pinki to death. The accused allegedly gave electric shocks to the woman after killing her.

Rakesh confessed to the crime when the police were patrolling the Burari area. The police recovered Pinki's dead body from her residence and charged the accused under Section 304 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. The accused has been taken into police custody and an investigation is being done.
