UP: Father-Son duo slaughter six members of their family in Lucknow

A horrific case was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, where a father-son duo killed their six family members gruesomely on late Thursday. The incident came to light when both father and son entered the police station with a blood-stained sickle and a gun to surrender. As soon as they narrated the crime they committed, police swung into action and reached to crime spot.

On reaching the crime spot they saw accuse’s mother Ram Dulari (58), his younger brother Arun (40), his wife Ram Sakhi (36), their children lying in the pool of blood. They found accuse’s father Amar Singh’s (65) body near Lucknow-Unnao border. After recovering the body, the police send them to postmortem.

During investigation accuses identified as Ajay Singh (45) and his son Avinash (20) told the reason as to why he murdered his family. Ajay told the cops that he suspected that his father was having an affair with his wife while his wife was secretly plundering agricultural produce with his father’s help and channelizing the harvest to her father’s home, leaving him with nothing. Not just this he also that he suspected a sinister plan to divide the ancestral land among other family member keeping him out.

As per police, the father-son duo seemed calm and mentally unstable. Ajay first killed his father a few kilometres away from their home. After killing his father he returned with his son and hacked his mother to death with a sickle and then shot his younger brother. He then targeted his brother’s wife while his son hacked their children one after another.

The police have booked both the accused under multiple murder case.
