UP: Father kills newly married daughter for shocking reason
In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his daughter in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. As per indiatvnews.com report, the 20-year-old woman got married recently and her in-laws accused her of her illicit relationship with her alleged lover.
The father of the woman, identified as Chandra Mohan Singh got upset over this complaint and hence, he decided to kill her daughter.
The accused man allegedly fired three shots at Swati from a close-range killing her on the spot.
After killing his daughter on Saturday, Chandra Mohan approached police and surrendered himself along with the licensed double-barrel gun, the report said.
The deceased woman was married to Nagendra Singh, a resident in Kanpur, about a year ago, indiatvnews.com report said.
According to Circle Officer (City) Anil Kumar, the in-laws of the woman sent her back to her parents' house on Thursday after know about her extramarital affair. As per family sources, the woman had been involved in a scuffle with her father and she was not ready to end her relationship. After a heated argument, Chandra Mohan shot her dead with his licensed double-barrel gun.
After killing his daughter, the accused man informed the police that he had killed his married daughter and was waiting to be arrested, the officer told.
Later, he reached the police station on his two-wheeler. The body of the woman was sent for a post-mortem examination.
The accused man told police that he killed his daughter as he was fed up with her illicit relationship.
On the other hand, the mother and brother of the deceased woman were found to be missing from the home soon after the incident.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the matter and also started questioning the in-laws of the deceased woman.
