In an incident brought to light from Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpet, a man allegedly killed a youth who had been stalking his daughter. The episode happened in full public sight on Tuesday. The accused, who works as a construction labour, had given a warning to the youth in the past, telling him to stop the stalking.

The deceased, who was 22-years of age, was identified as Rajesh and the accused as Dilli. Reportedly, Rajesh had been harassing Dilli's 16-year-old daughter constantly.

Irked by the repeated harassment, Dilli's daughter spoke to him thrice in the past. After learning about his daughter's difficult situation, the construction worker warned Rajesh and asked him to stop. Rajesh, however, didn’t stop and continued stalking.

According to a report by The Times of India, on Tuesday, the girl was going back home from a grocery store when the 22-year-old youth stopped her. The youth professed his love to the teen girl and she turned him down. Instead of stopping, the youth allegedly harassed the girl.

The teen girl somehow managed to run away and rushed home. When Dilli came back home from work, he came to know about the incident and went into a fit of rage. The accused picked up an iron rod and went to look for the youth. After he found Rajesh, the accused kept attacking him until he bled to death.

The witnesses in the case made an effort to save the 22-year-old youth and the accused tried to run away from the spot. After a while, the locals caught hold of Dilli and handed him over to the police. Rajesh was taken to a near by hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The accused was arrested under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
