Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut, who is embroiled in an acromonious war of words with Maharashtra’s ruling party Shiv Sena, has again come under attack from the Shiv Sena after the actor wrote several things on Twitter to target Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the Mumbai Police.

Shiv Sena, in its mouthpiece Saamana, launched a veiled attack at Kangana over her regular tweets against the party and the chief minister, stating that most people active on social media aren't even aware and responsible.

In an indirect reference to the Bollywood actor, Shiv Sena questioned if those "seemingly out of control on social media" will show maturity or not on social media. The party also went on to allege that social media is being used to malign Mumbai’s reputation.

"Most of the people active on social media aren't responsible. Will those who seemingly are out of control on social media show some maturity?" Shiv Sena stated.

This piece comes after a series of tweets by Kangana once again attacking the Shiv Sena.

According to Saamana, social media is being used in a systematic fashion to defame Mumbai and display Maharashtra in poor light and just when exceptions are taken, people allege that their freedom of expression is being curtailed.

"Today there is no field that's untouched from gossiping on social media. Neither is there any restriction on the field not any restriction on responsibility...Many in government positions have restrictions to react to the wrong accusations but those who create chaos through social media, shouldn't take undue advantage", Shiv Sena stated.

After an action-packed week in Mumbai, Kangana Ranaut reached her hometown Manali in Himachal Pradesh.

There were no demonstrations along the way or at the airport and she made a quiet entry. The Bollywood actor soon after entering the airport, took to Twitter and gave grounds for her controversial, 'Mumbai feels like PoK' remark.
