Punjab horror: 11-year-old boy set ablaze after sodomy attempt; neighbour held

A horrific incident came to light from Punjab’s Moga where an 11-year-old boy was murdered after a 2-year-old neighbour attempt sodomy on Sunday. Allegedly the accuse set the boy’s body on fire at nearby school when everyone in the village started searching the boy.

The incident came to light on Tuesday when the locals noticed that dogs are feeding on a dead body. As per the report, the minor was missing from his home since Sunday noon as the accuse who is deceased’s immediate neighbour took the boy along with him. He told the boy that he should accompany him to a neighbour’s home to repair his motorbike, however, he brought the boy to a local government school and tried to sodomize him.


The minor resisted this act and this angered the accuse and he killed the boy by hitting a brick on his head. Initially, he fled from the spot, however on Monday when he saw that everyone in the village is looking for him, he immediately purchased petrol and went to the school and set his body ablaze

On Tuesday, stray dogs entered the school premises and started feeding on the remains of the body. When villagers noticed this incident they immediately called the police and by the time they reached only the skeletal of the victim they could recover.

During the investigation, they found out that this gruesome crime was carried out by the victim’s neighbour. Also, he confessed to the crime and narrated the whole incident. Police have booked the accuse on the charges of murder under several sections of IPC.
