Nearly crushed on road: Girl jumps off speeding autorickshaw to escape molestation [Video]

In a shocking incident that took place in Maharashtra's Aurangabad, a minor girl jumped off a speeding autorickshaw after she was allegedly molested. A video footage of the girl's courageous act to save herself after the molestation bid has now gone viral.

As per reports, the girl jumped off the speeding rickshaw as the auto driver tried to molest her. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed on the roads in the city. Soon after the girl jumps, people can be seen rushing to help her.


After the incident came to light, the accused driver identified as Syed Akbar Hameed was taken into police custody within two hours.

According to the police, a case has been filed against the accused auto driver under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The girl was going back home by an autorickshaw after finishing her tuition on 13th November. On the way, the auto driver talked obscenely with her and tried to touch her inappropriately. Seeing this, the girl got scared and jumped off the speeding auto.

Furthermore, police reports said that the girl had no information about the auto rickshaw. To trace the accused, many CCTVs of the area were scanned and the registration number of the auto was found. Then he was arrested.

The police have appealed to all the people traveling in autos to take a photo of the auto in their mobile before sitting in the auto rickshaw, this will keep them protected.
