Miscreants attack couple with acid while they were sleeping
In a shocking incident, a middle-aged couple in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh district were allegedly attacked with acid. According to reports, the miscreants attacked them with acid when they were sleeping in their house.
On Tuesday night, the miscreants barged into their house at night and after throwing acid on a couple, they fled, IANS reported.
The couple’s son woke up after hearing the screams of his parents. With the help of neighbours, the victim couple was rushed to a nearby hospital.
After seeing the critical condition of the couple, they were later referred to a hospital in Prayagraj for advanced treatment.

According to family members, the couple didn’t have any dispute or enmity with anyone.
The victim identified as Amarjit Kori, who worked as a mason and also practiced black magic.
Meanwhile, police are probing the black magic angle in the case.
A case has been registered and investigations are underway, ASP Dinesh Dwiwedi said. The cops are questioning the family and friends of the couple about the incident.
