Man kills self along with his two daughters

In a shocking incident, a man died by suicide along with his two daughters aged 14 and 18 in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The man took this extreme step after losing his wife due to coronavirus. The tragic incident took place in Attibele of Anekal taluk of Bengaluru Rural district.


The deceased have been identified as Satish (42), Keerthi (18), and Monisha (14). The family lived in Ambedkar Colony in Attibele.

Keerthi was BSc first-year student while Monisha was in the ninth standard. Satish had left the job about sixth months ago and had become a farmer.

The incident came to light on Wednesday morning when Satish’s father came to meet him as he was not answering his phone calls since Tuesday night.

On entering the house, Satish’s father left shocked to see all three family members were hanging from the ceiling. Later, neighbour alerted the police about the incident.

According to the police, the trio reportedly ended their lives on Tuesday night. The trio left a signed note which stated that they were very depressed after losing a family member and were not interested in life anymore, newindianexpress.com reported.

Satish’s wife, Asha was infected with COVID-19 and had succumbed at a hospital about two months ago. Satish’s family members have stated that he and his daughters were depressed after the death of Asha, the police added.

Meanwhile, the police have registered an unnatural death case in connection with the incident.
