Later, Murthy succumbed to his injuries. Thereafter, Rakesh dumped the body of the sexagenarian in the nearby bushes and fled with the gold ornaments.

Murthy’s family members filed a police complaint when the man didn’t return home. Rakesh also joined them in order to avoid suspicion.

During the investigation, police zeroed in on Rakesh with the help of CCTV footage and took him for interrogation.

He confessed to the crime and disclosed the motive behind killing the man.

Meanwhile, Rakesh has been arrested by the cops and also have recovered the stolen ornaments from him.
