A shocking news came to light from Chandigarh where a “self-styled godman” Lakshyanand was arrested for raping 2 minor girls for 3 days on Wednesday. The incident took place out of Trilokpur village near Panchkula’s Raipur Rani.

As per police, the FIR was registered on Tuesday late night. The medical examination of both the girls aged 13 and 14 years was taken on Tuesday night itself in Panchukula’s civil hospital. After recording their statement under Section 164 of CrPC they arrested the accused around 9:30 pm on Wednesday.

As per Indian Express, doctors report after conducting medical examination read “the possibility of sexual assault cannot be ruled out.”

As per FIR, the girls alleged that on 25th January they had gone to the accused’s ashram with their two brothers. The victims alleged that their brothers were kept in one room and girls in another room where the Baba raped them several times for three days. They also told that he threatened to kill them if they informed this to anybody.

Girls further alleged that Baba raped them once last month as well. On of the girl hails from Uttar Pradesh while another one is a native of Punjab.

The police have booked the Baba under Section 376 (Rape) and Section 506 (Criminal Intimidation) of IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act.

According to police, Baba told them that he is innocent and is being hatched by a man with whom he has an ongoing financial dispute.

Earlier, the Baba was booked in February last year when a woman native of Uttar Pradesh alleged that he drugged and rapes her in his ashram.

DCP Kamal Deep Goyal, said, “The accused is being questioned on the charges levelled against him. The girls are with their families”.
