Aurangabad horror: Woman beheaded for marrying without family's consent

A 19-year-old woman was decapitated allegedly by her brother for tying the knot to a man without the assent of her family on Sunday, the police said.

After decapitating the girl, who was according to report pregnant, Shobha Sanjay Mote (mother, aged 38) and Sanket Sanjay Mote (brother, aged 18) of the deceased victim allegedly dragged the victim's head and exhibited it before the neighbours.


The mother-son duo also told the neighbours that they had murdered their daughter because she got married without their assent. After that, they took a selfies with the head of the deceased victim, police said.

The accused gave themselves up at the Virgoan police station and confessed to the horrifying act and are now taken into police custody.

As maintained by the cops, the victim’s mother and her brother went to the victim’s house on the pretext to reconcile.

The victim’s husband went to another room to give some privacy to his wife and her family.

The victim went to the kitchen to make tea for her mother and brother. According to police, the brother who was carrying a sharp edged weapon launched an attack from behind and stright away slit her throat

By the time the victim’s husband could come to her aid, the brother of the victim had already decapitated the victim, the police said.

Scared of him being attacked, the victim’s husband managed to run away from the crime spot.

The deceased victim tied the knot with a man of her choice without the assent of her family around six month ago.
