This Instagram picture of 'Who Says' singer Selena Gomez has her fans talking. The 25-year-old actress and singer revealed in a heartfelt Instagram message that she underwent a kidney transplant and her close friend Francia Raisa, selflessly donated her kidney to her.

This is what Selena Gomez shared about her kidney transplant and close friend Francia, “I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me.
