The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's will take place at St George’s Chapel and the couple has already decided people who will make their day extra special and extraordinary affair. Last evening, the couple finalised the flower arrangements for the wedding which will be done by a London-based floral designer Philippa Craddock.
Now, they have also decided the pastry chef who will make their special day memorable and
palatable. The royal cake will be designed by Claire Ptak who originally hails from California.
She has her own baking company and cafe, Violet and serves variety of desserts such as whoopie pies, cupcakes, and other popular serving-size desserts. The desserts are organically made and seasonally crafted which is the speciality about her baking company. The chef has worked under the celebrated Alice Waters at Chez Panisse in Berkeley.
The royal cake will be made with lemon, elderflower and fresh flower decorations. Claire showed excitment on Instagram, writing: "Kinda excited to announce this one!! Violet has been chosen to make the wedding cake for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. ... They both share so many of the same values regarding food provenance, sustainability, seasonality and of course, flavour!"
The palace says the couple are "very much looking forward to sharing this cake" with guests at their May 19 wedding.
