The Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra who rose to fame in Bollywood by playing the character of the glamorous villain in the hit Indian film 'Aitraaz' is making herself known in the west. Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra also made her Hollywood debut with the character of Victoria a glamorous villain in the hit franchisee Baywatch.

Even though the film was not able to get many points from the critics, yet the global icon Priyanka Chopra was highly appreciated for portraying the role of Victoria. A few critics in West have even said that 'only thing worth watching in the film was deemed Bollywood goddess, Priyanka Chopra'.

Now once again Priyanka Chopra has created a buzz in the west as her Hollywood film A Kid Like Jake has been nominated for the Sundance Film Festival. The festival would take place in January. While talking about the film, Priyanka Chopra said the story of her film is something that needs to be “told and seen” to the world.

The 'Bajirao Mastani' fame took it micro-blogging site to share her excitement and wrote, “When I read the script of A Kid Like Jake, I knew immediately that this was a story I had to be a part of... A story that needed to be told and seen..And now it’s been selected for Sundance Film Festival!”

The Global megastar further said that she is excited and eagerly waiting for the day when her fans will watch the film.

“Claire Danes, Jim Parsons, Octavia Spencer, Silas Howard, Amy Landecker, Ann Dowd Daniel Pearle, Todd Spiewak, Eric Norsoph, Paul Bernon, Rachel Song -- thank you for being such an incredible team to work with,” PeeCee further added.

The largest independent film festival in the United States, the 10-day Sundance Film Festival will take place from January 18-28.
