The most talked about fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones' actress Esmé Bianco has made a shocking revelation about her personal life. The actress has shared her ordeal and opened up about being a survivor of domestic abuse.

The 36-year-old British actress, who played prostitute Ros in popular drama series Game of Thrones (GOT) posting online and revealed that she had suffered from worsening night terrors and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and it haunting her today itself.


 

The GOT actress also shared a photograph of her back covered in marks on Twitter joining the latest trends hashtag #IamNotOk, explaining how she was filmed being whipped ‘in the name of “art”.

The GOT star penned, ‘This is my back. The injuries you see are real. The whipping that I got here was filmed in the name of “art”.

‘Despite the many years that have passed since this happened my night terrors and PTSD symptoms continue to get worse. I am a domestic violence survivor and #IAmNotOk.’

 

A current trend on social media, #IAmNotOk movement has witnessed abuse survivors sharing their horror stories on social media and threw a light on lasting effects these traumatic events can create.

This photo was taken on my birthday many years ago. The night before I had been locked in the bedroom alone and had not slept,’ the actress wrote.

‘I was surviving on very little food and was physically and mentally exhausted - I often wasn’t allowed to sleep.’

 

She added, ‘In this photo, my boyfriend is giving me my birthday present. Despite the plastered on the smile, I can see the emptiness and fear in my eyes.

‘We went for dinner later and he spent the whole evening berating me because he didn’t want to go out. I was not ok then and #IAmNotOk now.’

Esme explained that she did not know how to speak up for herself and things became normal for her. ‘Therefore, all the s*** that was happening that was not OK became normal for me,’ she said, according to student newspaper The State News.

Game of Thrones, a fantasy drama TV series’s eight and final season will premiere on April 14, 2019.
