Nick Gordon, who was held legally responsible for the death of his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, has been arrested after allegedly beating up his new girlfriend in a jealous rage.

The 28-year-old, who is facing two charges - one for domestic violence battery and the other for kidnapping an adult, was taken into custody in Sanford, Florida.

According to TMZ.com, Gordon allegedly beat up his girlfriend so badly that she ended up in a hospital.

Law enforcement revealed that the girlfriend filed a report at the police station, claiming she'd been battered and not allowed to leave their residence.

The outlet also reported that Gordon's girlfriend told police he was pissed off because he thought she was trying to hook up with one of his friends at a sports bar. She said they got home from the bar and argued into the early morning.

When she tried to leave, Gordon started "punching and hitting her and refused to let her leave."

She continued that he also snatched a laptop she was trying to use to communicate with her sister.

According to the police report, she was only able to leave when she woke up Gordon's mother, who then drove her to his sister's home after which she was taken to the hospital.

Gordon told police he did not hit the woman and claimed she attacked him and wanted to press charges against her.

In November 2016, a judge ordered Gordon to pay more than $36 million to the family of Brown, two months after he was found legally responsible for her death.

The daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston died in July 2015 at age 22 after being in a coma for months. She was found face down and unconscious in a bathtub in a Georgia home she shared with Gordon, whom she'd referred to as her "husband" on several occasions.
