Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff diagnosed with lung cancer, as per reports

Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff reportedly diagnosed with lung cancerNetherlands, Ajax and Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff has been diagnosed with lung cancer, as per reports in the Spanish media on Thursday, 22 October.

Cruyff, who won the Ballon d'Or on three occasions, was reportedly diagnosed with the disease on Tuesday, and will be undergoing further tests in the coming days to determine the course of treatement.

A three-time European champion with Ajax in the early 70s, Cruyff had masterminded four successive La Liga titles for Barcelona as a manager in the 90s, also winning an European Cup during his tenure.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers, the 68-year old had last managed the Catalonian national team from 2009 to 2013.
