TV actress Divya Bhatnagar dies of coronavirus at 34

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata actor Divya Bhatnagar breathed her last today morning after suffering from the novel coronavirus at Mumbai’s SevenHills hospital.

The 34-years-old actor was placed on ventilator support after her condition worsened. Since the actress had high blood pressure, she battled the disease for almost a week.


Talking to IndiaToday, Divya's mother had shared that the actress was critical and on ventilator support. She was taken to the hospital on 26th November after her condition worsened. She was suffering from pneumonia as well. Her mother said, "My son and I came to Mumbai after coming to know about Divya's health. She is critical and currently on ventilator support."

Divya's family had come all the way to Mumbai from the national capital once they found out about her deteriorating health condition.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee expressed her sympathy to the actress on her official Instagram handle. She posted a few images and penned an emotional note saying she will be missed a lot.

Devoleena wrote, "Jab koi kisi k saath nahi hota tha toh bas tu hi hoti this... Divu tu hi toh meri apni thi jisse main daant sakti this, ruth sakti this, dil ki baat keh sakti thi... I know life was too hard on you..the pain is intolerable...but I know today you must be in a better place and free from all the sorrows, pains, sadness, cheats, lies...I will miss you divu and tu bhi jaanti thi I loved you and cared for you... Badi tu thi par bacchi bhi tu hi thi...God bless your soul. Jahan bhi hai tu abhi bas khush reh.You will be missed & remembered. I love you @divyabhatnagarofficial. Too soon to be gone, my friend... Om Shanti."

Divya Bhatnagar was shooting for Tera Yaar Hoon Main when she had to be taken to the hospital. She has also featured in shows like Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata hai, Sanskaar, Udaan, Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Morre,Vish and Sanware Sabko Preeto among others.
