SSC CGL Result 2016 to be declared after a week

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) result 2016 is expected to be announced on the official website of ssc.nic.in after a week.

Candidates who appeared for the exam should expect the selection information after 20 October.

SSC CGL examination was held from 27 August to 11 September, 2016. The examination is held to recruit candidates in Group B and Group C across various ministries, government departments and offices in the country.

From this year, SSC CGL went completely online. According to reports, over 25 lakh candidates applied for the tier 1 exam, out which 14,25,234 candidates appeared for the test. In 2015, 44,871 candidates had qualified for SSC CGL tier 2 exam.

SSC CGL exam selection consists of four stages: Tier I Computer-based Objective type test, Tier II Computer-based Objective type test, Tier III Skill test or interview. Some positions also have a Tier IV Computer proficiency test.

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam is expected to be held in November 2016.

"The final merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off," states a notice on the official website.
