RRB Recruitment 2019: Over 2000 new vacancies released for JE, Commercial Clerk; Retired staff can also apply

The Indian Railways has announced a new recruitment drive for freshers aspirants who dreamt of working in the largest transport network.

Interested aspirants can visit the official website of Central Railways at cr.indianrailways.gov.in and apply for the vacancies released for freshers and also for retired staff.


As per the official notification released by the Central Railway, there is a total of 2150 vacancies released for the positions of Junior Engineer, Commercial Clerk, Pointman, Senior Section Engineer and others.

Candidates can apply for various posts till 12th July 2019. Applicants are advised to submit their application form before the deadline.

  • Junior Engineer – 86
  • Commercial Clerk – 72
  • Pointman – 385
  • Lab Attendant – 09
  • Ticket Examiner – 78
  • Senior Section Engineer – 11
  • Track Maintainer – 109
  • Technician – 08
  • Lineman – 02
  • Senior Clerk – 05

Note: Staff who have retired from Mumbai Division of Central Railway and from the same category and same department can also apply for the vacancies.

The re-engagement shall be strict up to 01.12.2019 or attaining the age of 65 years or till the availability of regular candidates from RRB/Departmental Selection whichever is earlier.

Age Limit:

The upper age limit to apply for the vacancy is 65 years. No re-engagement will continue in service beyond 65 years of age.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Written Exam/Interview.
