RRB Recruitment 2018 Group C, D: Record breaking applications for more than lakh jobs in the history of Indian Railways; the numbers are surprising

Indian Railways has given the huge opportunity to the aspirants who are eagerly waiting to build their career with Railways. The job opening by RRB has created the history as this is one of the biggest chance for the candidates to fulfil their dreams. At the beginning of this year, Indian Railways has announced the vacancies for Group C and D various posts. Over lakh of posts, more than 2 crore applicants have applied for the examinations.

According to the reports, more than 50 lakh online applications have been applied only for Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians posts. However, Railways has released the posts for Loco pilots are 26,502 while 62,907 for Group D posts. However, application window for the exam has been closed now.


This year Railway has saved 7.5 crore paper sheets which are equivalent nearly to 10 lakh trees y conducting the examination via online mode, says senior Railway Ministry official. As this year students won’t be able to write the exam on question booklets because it has been replaced by online tests.

Railway Minister took to Twitter and said about that how conduction Railways examination for various posts will help in saving the tree from cutting.

Indian Railways will also provide the question paper in 15 different languages which are Hindi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Assamese, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Tamil and Telugu that will help other students for giving the examination in their own regional language.
