Ninth-standard girl student dies by suicide

Alluru (Andhra Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a ninth-standard student from Dumbriguda Mandal in Andhra Pradesh was found dead by hanging in a hostel in Alluru district on Tuesday afternoon, as reported by the police.

Return to Hostel Ends in Tragedy


The deceased student had returned to the hostel situated at Araku Valley earlier in the afternoon after visiting her home. A police official confirmed that the girl, who was a resident of a village in Dumbriguda Mandal, went to her room within half an hour of returning to the hostel and took the extreme step.

Discovery by Fellow Students

According to one of her classmates, the girl's fellow students discovered her lifeless body hanging in her room. They notified the school principal, who, in turn, informed the local authorities.

Absence of Suicide Note

No suicide note was found at the scene. The police have indicated that neither the family members nor the hostel management have lodged any complaints as of now.
