KVS Application Form 2020: Admission process to begin anytime now; keep documents ready

Waiting for KVS admission form 2020? Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will soon open its application window for class 1 and class 2 admission. Parents should keep their eyes on the official website of KVS at kvsonlineadmission.in.

As per the official notification, KVS 2020 application form will be available in the first week of March 2020. Therefore, there are 100 % chances that KVS will start its registration process before Holi 2020.


So, parents who want their children to enroll in KVS schools should keep their documents required for the admission process.

As per previous year trends, the application process for class 1 was started on March 1 and for classes 2 and above (except 11) registration began on April 2.

At first, KVS will start the application process for class 1 and then, classes 2 and above in April.

Once the application link gets activated by KVS, candidates can apply for the admission form 2020.

Looking back previous trends of KVS, the application process for class 1 will be online mode while for classes 2 and above (except class 11) in offline mode.

For class 11 applicants, the registration window will start within 10 days of class 10 board result announcement.

However, the KVS admission list for class 1 will only be released after the completion of the registration process. The first admission list for class 1 will be released on the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. While the second and third admission list will be released only if the seats remain vacant.

As per the reports, the first list of selected candidates will be released on 26 March 2020.

KVS Admission 2020-21: Age Limit Required:

For admission to class 1, the minimum age limit is 5 years till 31st March. The child born on April 1 can also apply for class 1.

See below table on age limit required for classes 1 to class X:

  • For Class 1: Age limit is 5 years to 7 years
  • For Class 2: Age limit is 6 years to 8 years
  • For Class 3: Age limit is 7 years to 9 years
  • For Class 4: Age limit is 8 years to 10 years
  • For Class 5: Age limit is 9 years to 11 years
  • For Class 6: Age limit is 10 years to 12 years
  • For Class 7: Age limit is 11 years to 13 years
  • For Class 8: Age limit is 12 years to 14 years
  • For Class 9: Age limit is 13 years to 15 years
  • For Class 10: Age limit is 14 years to 16 years

Last year, around 8 lakh students registered themselves for KVS admission for 1 lakh seats available at its 1202 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country.
