The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) will soon reschedule exam dates for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ICSE) for the poll-bound states - Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipu.

CISCE Chief Executive Gerry Arathoon said that owing to elections, the examinations will be rescheduled but emphasised that no dates have been finalised yet.

Earlier, ISCE exam was scheduled to be held from 6 February, 2017 while ICSE from 27 February, 2017.

On 4 January, the Election Commission announced the assembly election dates in five states. The first phase polls clashed with ISC art paper 1 - both of which were listed on 11 February. Similarly, computer science paper 2 scheduled for 15 February clased with the second phase of polls.
