DU Admission 2019: Check revised eligibility criteria for admissions to UG courses

An important update for the students who are planning to seek admission to the Delhi University’s colleges. As of now, the varsity has made some changes and released revised eligibility criteria for the admission process to undergraduate courses offered by DU.

According to the new notification, candidates who want to take admission to Bachelor of Arts, need to possess at least 45 percent marks. While a minimum 40 percent marks required for the admissions to Bachelor of Commerce, and 50 percent marks for various undergraduate Science programmes offered by the university.


To take the admission to dream college, aspirants should check the cut off list through the official website of DU at du.ac.in.

Check the revised criteria released by DU:

Candidates who want to take admission to BA. (Hons.) English, at least 45 percent marks required. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects.

Also, aspirants must have passed English in the qualifying exam. While calculating the best four subject percentage, candidates should not forget to include English marks.

Meanwhile, as per the direction of the Delhi High Court, University of Delhi has extended the last date for the admission process till 22nd June 2019. Candidates who are left to apply for the admission process can apply till June 22nd, 2019.

Here’s what Du’s Admission Committee said:

This is to notify all candidates applying for admission to the Undergraduate Courses for the Academic Year 2019-2020 that the date for registration has been extended till June 22nd, 2019. It is further informed that the revised eligibility criteria, applicable for admissions to various Undergraduate Courses, will be notified by 5:00 PM on June 17th, 2019 through the updated Bulletin of Information downloadable from the University website.
