CBSE CTET July Exam 2019: Important details about exam schedule, selection procedure, number of attempts

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019 exam on July 7th July 2019. Candidates who have applied for the exam then only a week is left for the preparation.

CBSE CTET exam will be an OMR based test that will be held across the nation. Moreover, the admit card for the CTET exam has been released on the official website on June 22, 2019. Candidates who are left to download the admit card can download the hall tickets before 7th July.


After downloading the CBSE CTET admit card aspirants should check the details mentioned on it.

Here’s how to download your CBSE CTET Admit Card 2019:

i. Open the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in.
ii. Click on the link of CTET admit card
iii. Log in yourself to download your hall ticket
iv. Click on OK
v. Your hall ticket will appear
vi. Download your hall ticket
vii. Do not forget to take a printout

Know details about a total number of attempts:

As per the notification, there is no restriction on the number of attempts to appear for CBSE CTET exam. Even a qualified person can appear for the exam again for improving the score.

Know the selection procedure:

Candidates need to obtain at least a 60 percent score in the CTET exam to qualify the exam. Examinees who will qualify the exam will be awarded Mark Statement and the CTET qualifying certificate.

According to the official notification, “Should give weightage to the CTET 2019 scores in the recruitment process, however, qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.”

Know validity period of CTET 2019 Certificate:

As per the latest CTET 2019 notification, the certificate of CBSE CTET will be valid for seven years from the date of result declaration for all categories.
