Bihar STET Exam 2019: BSEB announces major changes in eligibility criteria, extends registration date

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has again extended the last date for the registration process of Bihar STET exam from 30th September to October 3, 2019. Therefore, candidates who are left to submit their application form can apply now.

BSEB also made some changes in its eligibility criteria that will give some relaxation to aspirants who are applying for Bihar STET exam should details.

Applicants who want to become a teacher of Mathematics subject then along with Mathematics should also have subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, and Statistics in their graduation. Also, candidates who hold the degree of BCA and B.Ed can apply for the STET Paper-1 Maths subject. For Paper-2, students who hold the post-graduation in Biochemistry can apply for Chemistry subject. Earlier, BSEB invited application form for the Chemistry subject only from post-graduation and B.Ed aspirants.

On Thursday, the Board President Anand Kishore said that for Paper-1 (9th and 10th), Paper-2 (11 and 12) have been added to the prescribed qualification for Maths and Chemistry.

According to the reports of livehindustan.com, candidates who have the degree of B.Sc electronic and B.Ed are now eligible to apply for paper-1.

After introducing new changes, the Board has extended the last date for STET registration from September 30 to October 3.

For Paper I:

Total posts: 25270

Paper Timings:

• Bihar STET Paper I will be held in first shift i.e. 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. The exam duration is 2:30 hrs.
• Bihar STET Paper-II will be held in the second shift i.e. 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm. The duration of the exam is 2:30 hrs.
