Have you ever received more marks than the total marks in your examination? Well, it’s out of the imagination to secure more marks than the total marks. But, a 2002 batch IAS topper who had secured the first rank in the Civil Services Examinations in 2002 has made it into reality by scoring 171 marks out of 170.

Yes, Ankur Gupta has made everyone amuse when he shared a Facebook post and wrote that ‘When I was in school, my father used to say - 10 out of 10 isn’t good enough in any exam. Always strive for 11 out of 10. I hardly understood how that’s done.’

Ankur must now have understood what his father wanted from him by bringing the dreams to reality. Interestingly, Ankur scored such highest marks not in any Indian university but in a Harvard University where he has completed his master’s degree exam by securing 171 marks out of 170.

In his FB post, Ankur also wrote, 'In the last phase (possibly!) of student life now, I end up getting this score (171 out of 170) in the final exam of the macroeconomics course. The icing on the cake - it comes at Harvard and is signed by Jeffrey Frankel himself!'

Talking about his education, he has completed his graduation from one of the prestigious IIT Delhi and secured the first rank in the Civil Services examinations in 2002.
