On 30 August, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung appointed a three-member committee to examine over 400 files submitted by the Delhi Government.
The scuffle between the AAP and the Lt governor escalated after the High Court held that the LG is the administrative head of the National Capital Territory and the AAP Government's contention that he is bound to act on the advice of Council of Ministers was "without substance".
Earlier in the day, Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and alleged that Najeeb Jung had transferred a number of officers directly. He also claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intended to destroy Delhi through Najeeb Jung.
The Delhi Chief Minister added that Najeeb Jung transferred the officer despite repeated requests by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia not to.
Manish Sisodia had reportedly requested Najeeb Jung to not remove the officers involved in building the Mohalla clinics and schools.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on 28 August had earlier alleged that the Lieutenant Governor is behaving like a "king" and is interested in spreading dictatorship in the national capital.
