Ghaziabad: Snapdeal employee abducted while she was on call with parents

A 23-year-old girl IT professional at Snapdeal was reportedly abducted from Ghaziabad on Wednesday, 10 February night. The girl, identified as Dipti Sarna, took the Delhi metro from Gurgaon and got off at Vaishali as a part of her usual routine.

The incident unfolded when she took an auto from Vaishali meto station to the bus-stand in Ghaziabad from where her family usually pick her up. According to a report on India Today, she was speaking to her parents while in the auto, who then heard her screaming at the driver for taking a wrong turn. Her phone was switched off soon after.

Dipti's cousin sister Kirti took to Facebook to share this piece of news. She wrote, "My cousin, Dipti Sarna (Age 25, Ht 5'-11") is missing since last night. She was last seen in an auto from Vaishali metro station to Ghaziabad Bus-stand at around 8:30pm. The auto driver forcefully took her to a wrong route towards Rajnagar extension. An FIR has been registered at the Sihani Gate police station.
