Ravindra Jadeja may not be in the playing eleven but if he is called in as a substitute he makes sure that he contributes to the cause. In the 38th match of World Cup 2019, Ravindra Jadeja was called in as a substitute fielder after KL Rahul left because of an injury.

In the 23rd over of the match Kuldeep Yadav was bowling and pitched a googly, Jason Roy tried to hit the ball but it went flat from his bat and Ravindra Jadeja who was standing at long-on came running to his left and took the spectacular catch.


 

Kuldeep with the help of Ravindra Jadeja picked up the first wicket of the innings. Jason Roy was dismissed for 66 off 57 balls. England after winning the toss chose to bat first and the decision didn’t backfire as they put up a mammoth target of 338 runs on board.

Jonny Bairstow scored a fantastic century before he was dismissed by Mohammed Shami for 111. Joe Root scored 44 before he was dismissed by Shami again. Jos Buttler was looking good as he scored 20 off just 8 balls but Shami did it again with the ball.

Ben Stokes played a beautiful inning of 79 runs before he was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah while trying to play a scoop shot. Jadeja pitched in against as he took the catch at fine leg. Mohammed Shami took his first five-wicket haul in World Cup.
