Meanwhile, MS Dhoni had an off day on the pitch as the veteran batsman was sent back to the pavilion for a golden duck by Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa. Dhoni had four half-centuries in the last four matches he played against Australia.

Alex Carey was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav for 24-ball 22. Nathan Coulter-Nile was clean bowled for 4 by Bumrah’s fantastic Yorker. Pat Cummins came in and was caught behind by MS Dhoni for a duck.

Marcus Stoinis made an amazing half-century when Australia was under pressure. But Vijay Shankar came in and spoiled the party for Australia as he dismissed Stoinis in the first ball of the last over, Stoinis made 65-ball 52.
