India registered a historic win against New Zealand by defeating them by 197 runs in Kanpur on 26 September.
After the match, captain Virat Kohli expressed his joy at the win. He also took a moment to express his sorrow about Uri attack. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers.
India's Test captain said that he was deeply hurt by the precious loss of lives.
"As an Indian it hurts. What is going on is disturbing and I cannot even imagine what is going through the minds of the families," said the 27-year-old.
A day after the horrific attack, Kohli had tweeted a message to the brave men of the Indian Armed Forces.
