Not long ago, Virat Kohli went ahead of MS Dhoni to become the most successful Indian skipper in Test cricket. Virat Kohli had 27 wins to his name ahead of the West Indies tour, but with a win in the second Test, he took his tally to 28 which made him the most successful Indian captain in red ball cricket.

The skipper now has 28 victories in 48 matches as Test captain, while on the other hand MS Dhoni had 27 wins in 60 Test matches.

This was Virat Kohli’s 12th Test win in foreign soil. However he lost his number on spot ICC Test ranking to Steve Smith who is ahead by 34 points, which is a very thin margin.
