Indian Test captain Virat Kohli has suggested the name of former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori, currently the head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore, for the position of head coach of the Indian cricket team.

According to a report in the Times of India, Kohli, who captains the RCB team, has sent his recommendation to the BCCI regarding the vacant position in the national team.

Both Vettori and Kohli are known to be good friends on and off the pitch. Incidentally, the Indian batting star took over over the skipper's role from Vettori in 2013.

The BCCI has reportedly approached Rahul Dravid for the position of head coach. However, the former Indian captain has not made a decision yet.
