Virat Kohli and Steve Smith are very competitive on the field as they both are among the best batsmen in the world right now. Virat and Steve have been involved in some bitter banter in the past but the Indian captain’s gesture towards the former Australian skipper will win your heart.
During the 14th match of ICC World Cup 2019, Virat Kohli did something very impressive. Kohli asked the Indian crowd to stop booing and start cheering for Steve Smith while the former was standing at outfield. One section of the crowd started shouting ‘cheater-cheater’ while Steve was fielding at the boundary rope.
Virat Kohli was not impressed by the crowd and he immediately asked them to stop it. Virat then shook hands with Steve Smith during the over-break.
[#SpiritOfCricket] @imVkohli turned to the stand where Steve Smith was fielding in the deep & gestured the fans to cheer for him when he saw them booing Steve in a hideous manner.
