Team India suffer ODI series whitewash after 31 years

New Zealand cricketer Henry Michael Nicholls knocked a brilliant 80 off 103 deliveries while Colin de Grandhomme smashed a quick 58 off just 28 balls to sail the Black Caps to a comprehensive five-wicket win over the men in blue in the third and final ODI clash on Tuesday.

Chasing down a challenging target of 297, Nicholes and Guptill laid out an outstanding base for the Black Caps and a late attack by Tom Latham and Grandhomme was sufficient to win the encounter.


As a consequence, New Zealand concluded a 3-0 whitewash in the series. Something India have not experienced since 1989. the last time India lost all the three matches in an ODI series was in ‘89 against West Indies.
