T20 WC 2021: Social media flood with memes as fans gear up to Ind vs Pak

The Ashes played between Australia and England could be the oldest cricketing rivalry but India against Pakistan has a special appeal that surpasses all other cricketing competitions in the world.

Fans response to India vs Pakistan usually become subjects of memes for eternity. However, this time around memes have overfilled the internet even ahead of the contest has kicked off.

Immediately after the ICC T20 World Cup draw was put out, fans from around the world couldn’t conceal their emotion as India and Pakistan were drawn in the same group.

Just prior to the much anticipated contest between the arch foes, fans have started to share memes on social media.

Through the years, diverse range of memes from the India-Pakistan contests have gone viral on the internet. The most recent one being from the ICC ODI World Cup 2019. A Pakistani fan's reaction to the Men in Green's humiliating defeat to India in the quadrennial event is still discussed among fans.

Earlier, the man who became known for his 'maaro mujhe maaro' reaction from the contest featured in another clip. “Kya aap tayyar hai jazbaat se bharpoor Pak-Bharat ka match? Do hi toh match hain. Ek Pakistan India ka aur dusra Aamir Khan ka Lagaan movie wala,” he said in the video.

“Khuda ki qasam, aise lagta hai kal 2019 ka match khatam hua hai. Waqt ka pata hi nahi chalta. Yeh match Pakistan ke liye jeetna bahot zaroori hai,” he said. Saqib's crack-up from the 2019 World Cup had become a sensation on social media and even to this day, he is known as the 'maaro mujhe maaro' fan.

As the two heavyweights in the cricketing world prepare to resume their rivalry, another flood of memes can be expected to take over the internet.
